Getting ready in the morning can be a huge challenge, but it doesn’t need to be made even more difficult by using a teeny tiny mirror that we can’t see ourselves in. Instead, we should all be using a mirror that not only shows our beautiful selves, but also enhances our bathroom.
Here are 4 things to consider when purchasing a mirror for your bathroom:
Size
You should never just think of the functionality of a mirror before you purchase it. You should also consider the size of the vanity that you will be placing the mirror over. You normally will not want your mirror to be any wider than your vanity, and in a perfect world, your mirror and vanity will meet exactly at the same spots on both sides. If you cannot find a mirror that is the exact same size as your vanity, the next best option is to get a mirror that is seventy to eighty percent of the size of your vanity. When it comes to the height of your mirror, you will want to choose one that will be one foot higher and one foot below the eye line of the people who will be using it.
Single Mirror versus Multiple Mirrors
If you have a wider vanity or a vanity with multiple sinks, you will have the option of using one large single mirror or multiple mirrors. This can be a personal preference, but a large mirror will open the room up tremendously. On the other hand, multiple mirrors, can give the room a more vertical appearance, which makes the room look like it has more height.
Wall-to-Wall Mirrors
You could also ignore everything that we have just mentioned to you above and choose to install a wall-to-wall mirror. This type of mirror normally covers the entire wall over your vanity and toilet. It can make your bathroom appear much larger than it is, and it can give you more space to look at your outfit if you share a bathroom with someone else.
Framed or Frameless?
You may have thought that the above items were enough to think about when it came to mirrors, but now we need you to think about whether you want your mirror framed or not. A frameless mirror is much cheaper than a framed one and it can give your bathroom a more modern feel. A framed mirror is more traditional, and you can choose one with elaborate details that is quite decorative.
